About the Role
Nestlé is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tactical Buyer to support procurement operations at its Kabirwala facility. The role focuses on ensuring efficient execution of purchasing activities, supplier coordination, procurement compliance, spend analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining alignment with company policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Purchasing
- Convert purchase requisitions into purchase orders while ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
- Execute end-to-end procurement transactions accurately and within required timelines.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure smooth purchasing operations.
Business Partnership & Stakeholder Support
- Provide regular operational updates, insights, and procurement-related support to business partners.
- Understand plant and functional requirements and translate them into procurement actions.
- Maintain effective communication with multiple stakeholders to ensure business continuity.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Retrieve and analyze procurement data to support decision-making.
- Conduct spend analysis and monitor procurement trends.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and procurement efficiency improvements.
- Support the reliability and accuracy of procurement master data.
Supplier Management
- Coordinate with local suppliers for operational support, supplier development, and transition activities.
- Ensure supplier compliance with Nestlé standards and requirements.
- Assist in supplier-related initiatives directed by sourcing and category management teams.
Strategic Support
- Assist in integrating sourcing plans into budgeting and price-planning processes.
- Support innovation, renovation, and cost-saving projects.
- Promote adherence to the Nestlé Supplier Code and support audit-related actions.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree, Engineering Degree, or MBA from a recognized institution.
Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Skills & Competencies
- Good understanding of procurement and supply chain processes.
- Strong stakeholder management and coordination abilities.
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- High attention to detail with a focus on compliance and process discipline.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems will be considered an advantage.
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and work proactively in a dynamic environment.
