Position Overview
Unilever is seeking a proactive and results-oriented Shift Manager – Personal Care (PC) to oversee manufacturing operations and ensure the achievement of production targets related to volume, quality, cost efficiency, safety, and operational excellence. This role offers an excellent opportunity for engineering graduates and early-career professionals to develop leadership capabilities within a world-class manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Operations Management
- Lead making and packing operations during assigned shifts to achieve production targets.
- Ensure output reliability, product quality, and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate daily manufacturing activities according to production plans.
Material & Inventory Control
- Manage the receipt of chemicals and packaging materials.
- Monitor material consumption, production yields, and waste reduction initiatives.
- Minimize material variances through efficient resource utilization and accurate record-keeping.
- Supervise weekly and monthly stock counts and Fourth Shift inventory transactions.
Team Leadership & Workforce Management
- Organize and allocate operators, technicians, and contract labor effectively.
- Monitor workforce performance and ensure operational readiness.
- Identify training needs and facilitate skill development programs.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards.
- Verify proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) across the shop floor.
- Promote a strong safety culture and adherence to company policies.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive Autonomous Maintenance activities and support TPM initiatives.
- Assist in implementing HACCP standards and audit recommendations.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance productivity and operational performance.
Eligibility Criteria
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (BSc Engineering)
Experience
- Fresh Engineering Graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Up to 1 year of experience in Operations, Production, FMCG, or Manufacturing environments will be considered an advantage.
