Unilever Pakistan is seeking an experienced and driven APDM E&I and Automation professional to lead engineering and automation projects within its Foods Factory operations. The role focuses on delivering capital projects safely, on time, and within budget while driving electrical, instrumentation, automation, and Industry 4.0 initiatives across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Engineering Management
- Ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of engineering projects.
- Monitor project budgets and annual cash flows.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and external partners.
- Develop project schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and execution plans.
- Conduct Concept Engineering, FEED, and Detailed Engineering activities.
- Collaborate with finance teams for asset capitalization and project closure.
- Coordinate with regional and global engineering teams on plant and site layouts.
Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation
- Ensure all new E&I and Automation systems align with site sustainability, safety, and cost strategies.
- Lead deployment of Industry 4.0 solutions, including SCADA and digitalization platforms.
- Support OT Networks, Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), and automation infrastructure.
- Execute projects with minimal disruption to plant operations.
- Implement Unileverโs EEM 7-Step Methodology for major projects.
Contractor & Procurement Management
- Manage consultants, contractors, and construction safety plans.
- Prepare procurement plans and evaluate technical bids.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, including PRs, POs, and GRNs.
- Coordinate supplier visits, performance reviews, and payment processes.
Documentation & Handover
- Maintain complete project records and documentation.
- Ensure smooth project handover to site operations teams.
- Support additional engineering initiatives assigned by Factory Engineering leadership.
Required Qualifications
๐ Bachelorโs Degree (BSc) in:
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronic Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
Experience Requirements
โ 4โ7 years of engineering experience, preferably within the FMCG sector.
โ 2โ3 years of hands-on experience in:
- OT Networks
- SCADA Systems
- Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS)
- Industrial Automation Technologies
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
