Job Overview

HBL is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Manager Advanced Data Analytics to lead data-driven decision-making across business functions. The ideal candidate will analyze complex banking datasets, generate actionable insights, develop dashboards, and identify growth opportunities to improve revenue and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, organize, and analyze large banking datasets from internal and external sources to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities.
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to relevant stakeholders.
• Identify potential areas of revenue loss or improvement and recommend data-driven solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management to gather business requirements and ensure BI solutions align with organizational goals.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing data validation and quality control processes.
• Detect anomalies affecting churn, deposits, or digital customer behavior to support reliable analysis.
• Improve reporting and analytics processes through automation and technology enhancements.
• Develop executive summaries and dashboard wireframes with key visuals and alerts for leadership.
• Maintain documentation for processes, reports, and data models.
• Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and reporting platforms.
• Analyze external market trends, competitor strategies, and industry benchmarks to refine business strategies.
• Evaluate market opportunities and prepare reports that support shareholder value creation.
• Develop implementation plans and governance mechanisms for strategic projects.
• Define project milestones, phases, and tasks.
• Track project progress against KPIs and resolve issues proactively.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
• Master’s degree will be preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 4 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or similar analytical roles.
• Banking or financial services industry experience is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Tableau.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and advanced formulas.
• Understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling (such as star schema).
• Knowledge of Python or R for advanced analytics will be an added advantage.
