Position Details
Job Title: Branch Manager (AVP)
Department: Aitemaad Islamic Banking
Reporting To: Regional Head
Employment Type: Contractual (3 years, renewable based on management discretion)
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Minimum Graduation or equivalent from a local or international university, college, or institute recognized by HEC Pakistan
- Candidates with a Commerce degree, Islamic Banking certification, diploma, or related qualification will be preferred
Experience
- Minimum 6 years of experience in branch banking
- At least 3 years of experience as Branch Manager, preferably in Islamic Banking
- Strong knowledge of branch banking operations and Islamic banking products
- Sound understanding of compliance regulations including AML, CFT, and SBP Prudential Regulations
- Strong business acumen with experience handling audit matters

Key Responsibilities
- Manage overall branch operations and supervision
- Drive business growth and achieve branch targets/KPIs through marketing and promotion of Islamic banking products
- Engage with existing and new customers for deposits, financing, retail banking products, remittances, asset management, and government-related business
- Execute annual branch business plans and submit performance reports
- Ensure compliance with banking laws, regulations, SOPs, and Shariah requirements
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets assigned by management
- Cascade branch targets to staff and monitor team performance
- Minimize customer attrition and improve retention
- Promote cross-selling of liability and asset products
- Develop strategies to counter competition and increase market share
- Strengthen internal controls to prevent fraud and forgery
- Support new product launches and sales initiatives
- Monitor branch credit portfolio where applicable
- Identify training needs and support staff development
- Maintain high service standards and ensure complaint resolution within TAT
- Ensure branch premises meet bank standards
- Educate customers regarding financial products and address concerns
- Review audit and performance reports and resolve observations
- Maintain proper documentation and record management
- Ensure all branch processes are completed within specified timelines
- Perform additional duties assigned by supervisors
