About the Role

Unilever is seeking a skilled Area Engineer to join its Foods Factory in Lahore. This role is ideal for experienced Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineers who are passionate about maintenance excellence, reliability engineering, automation, and continuous improvement. You will lead maintenance operations, improve equipment reliability, and drive operational efficiency while ensuring world-class manufacturing standards.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Lead and supervise shift technicians during equipment breakdowns and maintenance activities.

🔹 Develop and implement Maintenance & Reliability Strategies, including:

• Preventive Maintenance (PM)
• Condition Monitoring
• Run-to-Failure Plans
• Equipment Criticality Analysis

🔹 Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance inspections.

🔹 Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain accurate maintenance records.

🔹 Procure maintenance services and spare parts while implementing localization initiatives to optimize costs without compromising equipment reliability.

🔹 Analyze equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.

🔹 Identify automation opportunities and emerging technologies to improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce operational costs.

🔹 Maintain inspection records for Quality & Consumer Safety critical equipment.

🔹 Conduct Training Need Analysis (TNA) for Mechanical Technicians and enhance both Personnel Knowledge Index (PKI) and Equipment Knowledge Index (EKI).

🔹 Lead the Planned Maintenance (PM) Pillar under World Class Manufacturing (WCM).

🔹 Collaborate closely with project teams on new installations, innovations, and factory improvement initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria

Education

✅ Bachelor's Degree in:

• Mechanical Engineering
• Mechatronics Engineering
• Equivalent Engineering Discipline

Experience

✅ 5–8 years of relevant industrial maintenance or engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
