Indus Hospital & Health Network is seeking a Senior Officer – Supply Chain (Technical Buyer) to manage the procurement of engineering, maintenance, and technical equipment. The role involves working closely with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure timely purchasing of technical materials, spare parts, maintenance services, and CAPEX requirements while maintaining procurement compliance and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Procure engineering, maintenance, and technical materials & services.
• Manage purchasing of generators, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, civil, and MEP-related items.
• Review technical specifications, BOQs, engineering drawings, and scopes of work.
• Obtain quotations and prepare technical & commercial bid comparisons.
• Evaluate suppliers and ensure technical compliance before procurement.
• Prepare Purchase Orders (POs), Work Orders (WOs), and service contracts.
• Develop and maintain an approved technical vendor database.
• Negotiate pricing, warranties, delivery schedules, and after-sales support.
• Coordinate procurement for maintenance and CAPEX projects.
• Monitor project deliveries and ensure timely supply of materials.
• Maintain procurement records, contracts, and documentation.
• Coordinate with local and international suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and internal procedures.
• Perform additional duties assigned by management.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of engineering, maintenance, and technical equipment procurement.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, BOQs, engineering drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Experience in vendor sourcing, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiation.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and maintenance teams.
