🎯 Position Overview

The Engineer (Water Filtration Projects – RO Plant) will be responsible for the implementation, operation, maintenance, and repair of UV/RO Water Filtration Plant projects. The role involves overseeing technical project execution, ensuring quality standards, coordinating with stakeholders, and supporting sustainable WASH infrastructure development.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

• Manage and commission WASH projects including Water Filtration Plants, UF, UV, RO Systems, Hand Pumps, and Solar-Based Water Schemes.
• Supervise plant operations, including monthly backwashing and cartridge replacement.
• Monitor and manage pre-treatment processes, dosing calculations, chlorination, UF, RO, UV systems, softener plants, HRSCC, and USAB systems.
• Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors throughout project implementation.
• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of water filtration equipment and systems.
• Supervise borehole construction and water source development activities.
• Facilitate Community-Based Organization (CBO) formation, community meetings, conflict resolution, O&M training, and O&M fund management.
• Prepare technical documentation including BOQs, specifications, contracts, and engineering agreements.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure projects are completed according to engineering standards, timelines, and quality requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and provide regular technical progress reports.
• Support project assessments and recommend improvements based on field observations.
• Develop engineering work plans, technical reports, proposals, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with WASH consultants to prepare technical BOQs based on water quality, TDS, resistivity tests, and groundwater conditions.
• Provide technical guidance and solutions to address project challenges in collaboration with local communities.

🎓 Qualification & Experience

• DAE / B.Sc / BE / B.Tech in Chemical, Water, Environmental, or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in WASH or water filtration projects.

✅ Required Skills

• Strong expertise in water filtration systems, pipe networks, valves, fittings, and related infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with RO, UF, UV, chlorination, softener plants, and water treatment processes.
• Knowledge of engineering design software including AutoCAD, WaterCAD, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent understanding of engineering documentation, BOQs, and technical specifications.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Fluency in the local language, Urdu, and English (spoken and written).
• Commitment to humanitarian principles and beneficiary accountability.
• Experience working with INGOs, NGOs (WASH), or public water and sanitation authorities will be an added advantage.
• Ability to build the capacity of local organizations and community groups.
