HBL is seeking experienced and results-driven professionals for the position of Area Manager. The selected candidates will oversee multiple branches within their assigned region, drive business growth, ensure operational excellence, maintain regulatory compliance, and lead high-performing teams to achieve strategic business objectives.


Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Performance

  • Develop and implement business strategies to achieve product-wise sales targets across assigned branches.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
  • Conduct regular business review meetings with Branch Managers and Relationship Managers.
  • Visit branches to monitor performance, provide guidance, and motivate field teams.
  • Promote the bank's products and services through the branch network.
  • Recommend new branch expansion and delivery channel opportunities.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with HBL policies, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) regulations, and KYC/AML requirements.
  • Monitor adherence to internal controls and regulatory guidelines.

Customer Service

  • Maintain branch appearance and service standards for an excellent customer experience.
  • Coordinate with operations and service quality teams to ensure smooth branch operations.
  • Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints and service-related issues.
  • Work closely with support departments to enhance customer satisfaction.

People Management

  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate branch teams.
  • Set performance objectives and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Identify employee training and development needs.
  • Support recruitment and talent development initiatives.
  • Improve employee productivity and team performance.

Financial Management

  • Ensure branch expenses remain within the approved budget.
  • Monitor financial performance and identify discrepancies.
  • Provide accurate financial information for management review.

Eligibility Criteria

Education

  • Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred).

Experience

  • 8 to 10 years of banking experience.
  • Strong leadership, business development, and branch management experience will be preferred.
