Job Overview

An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Assistant Manager – Internal Audit to join a leading healthcare organization. The selected candidate will support the internal audit function by evaluating internal controls, strengthening risk management practices, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing governance processes across hospital operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and conducting internal audits across clinical, operational, and financial departments.
  • Perform risk assessments and develop audit objectives, scope, and procedures.
  • Review internal control systems and recommend improvements to strengthen efficiency and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, statutory requirements, and hospital policies.
  • Prepare comprehensive audit reports with findings, risk assessments, and practical recommendations.
  • Monitor the implementation of corrective actions for audit observations.
  • Conduct surprise audits of cash handling, pharmacy operations, inventory, billing processes, and patient services.
  • Work closely with department heads to promote transparency, accountability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support investigations related to fraud, irregularities, and special audit assignments.
  • Stay updated on auditing standards, healthcare regulations, and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Partially Qualified ACCA, ICMA, or CA, or professional certifications such as PIPFA, ICAEW, CIA, or CISA.

Experience

  • 4–6 years of internal audit experience.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the hospital or healthcare sector.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Sound understanding of auditing standards and risk-based auditing.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • High level of integrity with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with Hospital ERP systems will be considered an advantage.
