Islamabad Serena Hotel is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join its Engineering Operations team. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and reliability of all HVAC and refrigeration systems across the hotel. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise, hands-on troubleshooting skills, and experience working in hospitality or large industrial HVAC facilities.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, and maintain HVAC systems during assigned shifts.
• Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of HVAC equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, FCUs, refrigeration systems, and fresh air units.
• Repair refrigerators, cold rooms, split air conditioners, and ice cube machines.
• Monitor operational readings of chillers, cold rooms, and refrigeration equipment.
• Respond promptly to guest complaints and maintenance requests.
• Support smooth HVAC operations for hotel events and public areas.
• Carry out electrical work related to HVAC systems.
• Complete shift handovers with detailed maintenance reports and logbook updates.
• Maintain records of completed work orders, materials used, and recommendations.
• Conduct routine inspections of HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Assist in preventive maintenance schedules and annual maintenance programs.
• Support energy conservation initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
• Follow safety procedures and perform duties assigned by the HVAC Engineer.

🛠 Required Skills & Experience

• 5–7 years of relevant experience in the hospitality industry or large-scale HVAC plants.
• Hands-on experience with shift operations and HVAC maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Chillers (Absorption & Centrifugal)
  • Cooling Towers
  • Air Handling Units (AHUs)
  • Fan Coil Units (FCUs)
  • Fresh Air Systems
  • Refrigeration Systems
  • Cold Rooms & Walk-in Coolers
  • Split Air Conditioners
  • Building Management Systems (BMS)
• Experience in preventive, planned, and condition-based maintenance.
• Knowledge of testing, calibration, and maintenance of HVAC safety devices.
• Ability to diagnose faults and ensure maximum equipment efficiency.
• Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
