About the Company

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is responsible for promoting, developing, and governing the game of cricket in Pakistan while ensuring effective management and overall control of the sport nationwide.

Job Summary

PCB is hiring a Media Monitoring Officer to monitor television channels, news tickers, and other relevant media content. The selected candidate will prepare accurate summaries, develop concise reports, and provide timely media monitoring updates to support organizational decision-making.

Education

  • Minimum Intermediate qualification.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Experience

  • Previous experience in media monitoring, particularly television monitoring, will be considered an advantage.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Urdu and English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and summarization skills.
  • Ability to prepare clear, logical, and well-structured reports.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Capable of handling multiple monitoring assignments simultaneously.
  • Good Urdu typing skills.
  • Willingness to work in a 24/7 rotational shift environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor television channels, news tickers, and other relevant media sources.
  • Review and summarize important news, developments, and issues.
  • Type and transcribe Urdu content from television broadcasts and news tickers.
  • Prepare accurate and timely media monitoring reports.
  • Maintain organized records and archives of monitored content.
  • Stay updated on current affairs, media trends, and developments relevant to PCB.
  • Ensure smooth handover of monitoring reports between shifts.
  • Perform monitoring duties to ensure round-the-clock media coverage.

Important Note

This position requires candidates to work on a rotational three-shift schedule, including:

  • Day shifts
  • Evening shifts
  • Night shifts
  • Weekends
  • Public holidays
