Job Purpose

The Literacy & Numeracy Coach will strengthen teachers' skills in foundational literacy and numeracy (ECE to Grade 5) by providing classroom coaching, training, and continuous academic support using evidence-based teaching methods.

Key Responsibilities

• Coach teachers through regular classroom support sessions.
• Develop low-cost teaching aids using locally available materials.
• Assess students' literacy and numeracy levels using READ Foundation tools.
• Identify learning gaps and prepare remedial plans.
• Train teachers in multigrade classroom teaching strategies.
• Support model school teachers to improve teaching performance.
• Document and share classroom best practices.
• Contribute to literacy and numeracy-focused winter camps.
• Monitor student learning progress and submit coaching reports.
• Conduct demonstration lessons and recommend teacher training needs.
• Improve student assessment results through targeted coaching and remedial planning.
• Travel to assigned schools, including remote areas, for coaching and classroom support.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification

• Master's degree (MA/MSc) or 4-year Bachelor's (BS Hons) in Education or a related field.
• Minimum 16 years of education recognized by HEC.
• At least 2nd Division in the highest qualification.

Experience

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of classroom teaching experience (Early Childhood, Elementary, or Middle School).
• Experience in leadership, mentoring, coaching, or supervision will be preferred.
