Mobilink Microfinance Bank Limited (MMBL) is seeking a General Banking Officer to support branch operations and deliver efficient, high-quality customer service. The role involves account opening, non-financial transactions, customer query handling, branch administration, cash and clearing operations, record maintenance, and compliance with banking procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide efficient and courteous customer service in line with branch service and quality standards.
• Handle account opening and related processes, including dormancy, stop payments, account closures, SOA issuance, loan account processing, deceased marking/removal, and level migration.
• Manage customer queries and complaints while providing appropriate solutions within the required TAT.
• Process non-financial transactions accurately according to SOPs.
• Guide walk-in customers and cross-sell relevant banking products and services.
• Prepare and maintain branch reports, registers, records, and documentation.
• Participate in Gold Loan assessments and related operational activities.
• Maintain deceased customer cases, refunds, and supporting records.
• Verify fixed assets annually and reconcile the fixed assets register.
• Act as custodian of security stationery, cheque books, ATM cards, keys, and stamps as per SOPs.
• Handle clearing instruments, including inputting and return marking.
• Manage issuance/destruction and balancing of cheque books, Banker’s Cheques, and TDRs.
• Support teller operations and ensure accurate cash sorting in accordance with SBP Clean Notes Policy.
• Process cash deposits, withdrawals, cheque deposits, transfers, and other banking transactions accurately.
• Identify and report counterfeit currency notes in accordance with applicable procedures.
• Ensure cash transfers between till and vault are properly managed at the start and end of the day.
• Process FT, TT, and clearing entries accurately.
• Ensure end-of-day cash balancing between physical cash and the T24 system.
• Maintain cash balancing registers, Teller Daily Cash Records, SBP sheets, vault positions, average sheets, and other cash-related reports.
• Review sundry and suspense accounts for reconciliation.
• Scan and upload SS cards on a daily basis.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Line Manager.

Eligibility Criteria

Education:

• Bachelor's degree from a reputable institution in a relevant field.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
