Job Overview
Beaconhouse School System is seeking a Student Wellbeing Counsellor to support the emotional and psychological wellbeing of students from Grades 6 to A Levels/IBDP.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct individual and group counselling sessions.
Support students dealing with stress, anxiety, bullying, and wellbeing concerns.
Follow school-approved crisis assessment and safety protocols.
Help students develop resilience, self-awareness, and healthy coping skills.
Refer students needing specialised support to external professionals.
Support anti-bullying programmes, EQ training, and other wellbeing initiatives.
Collaborate with Sports, Arts, and Sustainability departments to promote student wellbeing.
Maintain confidential counselling records and reports according to school policy.
Required Skills
Strong understanding of counselling and adolescent development.
Knowledge of crisis intervention and prevention protocols.
Strong commitment to confidentiality, safeguarding, and ethical practice.
Excellent empathy, emotional intelligence, and communication skills.
Strong rapport-building and interpersonal abilities.
Good planning, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and digital record-keeping systems.
