Position Details
Job Title: Relationship Manager - SME & Commercial (OG-I)
Reporting To: Wing Head - SME, Commercial South & North
Place of Posting: Karachi & Lahore
Employment Type: Contractual, initially for three years, extendable at the discretion of Management
Educational / Professional Qualification
- Minimum Graduation or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Commerce from a local or international university, college or institute recognized by HEC Pakistan.
- Candidates having a Master’s degree and/or Islamic Banking certification or degree/diploma from NIBAF will be preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 4 years of banking experience as Relationship Manager, Relationship Associate, Relationship Officer and/or Credit Officer in Corporate, Commercial and/or SME Assets.
- Candidates with an understanding of financial analysis, including Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss analysis, will be preferred.
Other Skills / Expertise / Knowledge Required
- People management skills.
- Knowledge of banking products, policies and procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Good understanding of Islamic banking practices and products.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, organize priorities and meet targets.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Expand and efficiently manage the respective SME and Commercial Assets portfolio to meet revenue and profit targets.
- Introduce new customers and conduct periodic visits to customers’ business places and pledge sites, followed by submission of call reports to the Wing Head.
- Develop business through marketing structured products tailored to specific customer requirements and cross-selling of products.
- Manage existing and potential relationships and identify prospective clients to leverage further business opportunities, widen the portfolio and maximize overall customer risk-adjusted profitability and share of business.
- Prepare quality credit proposals using approved formats while ensuring accuracy and data integrity in line with risk management guidelines.
- Conduct periodic portfolio analysis to identify early warning signals and take necessary measures in accordance with applicable policies.
- Take proactive and remedial actions wherever required.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies and guidelines.
- Coordinate with Shariah Compliance and relevant internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with prevailing policies and regulations.
- Assist and coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure timely provision of required information and closure of audit observations.
- Coordinate with the Credit Administration Department and customers for issuance of the Disbursement Authorization Certificate (DAC) and smooth account operations.
- Maintain, safeguard and regularly update credit files with the latest records.
- Take necessary measures to keep the portfolio regular and reduce the Non-Performing Loans (NPLs) ratio.
- Assist the Unit Head by providing necessary documents, documentary evidence and information to assess clients’ financing requirements.
- Ensure compliance with SBP Prudential Regulations, Foreign Exchange Manual, NBP Credit Policy Manual and other relevant laws and circulars issued from time to time.
- Create, update and utilize various reports and MIS as required by Management.
- Assist the Line Manager in building a healthy Commercial and SME portfolio.
- Build effective and mutually beneficial customer relationships and contribute towards maintaining a zero-complaint environment.
- Perform any other assignment entrusted by the supervisor(s).
Assessment Test / Interview
Only shortlisted candidates who strictly meet the above-mentioned basic eligibility criteria will be invited for assessment tests and/or panel interviews.
Employment Terms & Benefits
The employment will be on a contractual basis for three years, which may be renewed at the discretion of Management.
Selected candidates will be offered a compensation package and other benefits in accordance with the Bank’s policies and rules.
