Nestlé Pakistan is looking for a Team Leader – Utilities to lead and manage the operation and maintenance of industrial utility systems at its Kabirwala Factory.
The role will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency, reliability, availability, quality, safety, and compliance of plant utilities, equipment, and infrastructure. The position will also drive continuous improvement, asset management, energy and water optimization, and team capability development to support uninterrupted production.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and manage the design, modification, and improvement of industrial utility plants, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Lead utility operations to achieve high efficiency, reliability, quality, and compliance.
- Optimize water and energy consumption across industrial services.
- Support budgeting, cost control, and monitoring of utility operations.
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs to maximize utility availability and reliability.
- Analyze equipment breakdowns using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and DMAIC methodologies.
- Implement permanent corrective and preventive actions to minimize recurring failures.
- Ensure quality, environmental, health, safety, and regulatory compliance across utility operations.
- Support competency-building initiatives for operations teams covering thermal, refrigeration, water, and power systems.
- Assist in technical training and development programs for factory maintenance personnel.
- Conduct safety inspections and audits and ensure safe practices throughout the lifecycle of utility systems.
- Identify and implement opportunities for energy efficiency and water conservation.
- Supervise operations and maintenance teams, contractors, and third-party service providers.
Eligibility Criteria
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in industrial services engineering, operations, and maintenance.
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment will be preferred.
- Hands-on experience with steam and ammonia systems operation and maintenance.
- Relevant experience with:
- Boilers and air heaters
- Refrigeration systems
- Water management systems
- Power generation
- Industrial utility operations and maintenance
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of quality, environmental, health, safety, and compliance standards.
- Good command of computer applications used in maintenance and operations management.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Experience using RCA and DMAIC methodologies.
- Proven team leadership and personnel supervision skills.
- Ability to manage contractors and third-party service providers.
- Exposure to system design, development, erection, commissioning, and technical support.
- Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
