Nestlé Pakistan is looking for a Fruits Sourcing Associate to strengthen its fruit sourcing network by working closely with orchard farmers, promoting sustainable farming practices, and ensuring a reliable supply of high-quality fruit. The role focuses on farmer engagement, orchard development, sustainability initiatives, and procurement support.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with fruit farmers, suppliers, and agricultural stakeholders.
• Guide farmers on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) to improve fruit quality, productivity, and sustainability.
• Identify and develop new orchards to support long-term fruit sourcing strategies.
• Monitor crop conditions, fruit availability, pricing trends, and market developments.
• Conduct farm sustainability assessments and maintain accurate project records.
• Support emission reduction initiatives across selected farms.
• Promote water conservation practices, including drip irrigation and sensor-based technologies.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, sustainability, regulatory, WHO Code, and Local Code requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to achieve sourcing and procurement objectives.
• Prepare reports and maintain documentation related to sourcing, farmer engagement, and sustainability projects.
• Provide practical support to farmers and suppliers while strengthening long-term partnerships.

Eligibility Criteria

Education

• Bachelor's degree or technical qualification in:
  • Agronomy
  • Agriculture
  • Food Sciences
  • Or an equivalent discipline

Experience & Skills

• Experience working with farmers, agricultural projects, or rural communities.
• Knowledge of fruit sourcing, procurement, or agricultural supply chains.
• Understanding of rural farming practices and farmer engagement.
• Familiarity with Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), food safety, quality assurance, and sustainable agriculture.
• Knowledge of sustainability initiatives such as farm assessments, emission reduction, and water conservation.
• Ability to analyze market trends, fruit availability, and pricing.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining compliance standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
• Passion for sustainable agriculture and rural community development.
