The Financial Controller will oversee financial operations, reporting, compliance, budgeting, audits, grant utilization, and finance process improvements across both organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations and ensure accurate financial records.
• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and monthly variance reports for CFO review.
• Review management accounts, bank reconciliations, payroll, and tax computations.
• Coordinate annual external audits and maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Monitor government grant utilization and maintain records for certification audits.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and treasury investment recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOPs, and the Delegated Authority Matrix.
• Supervise the Assistant Manager Finance and provide support to Finance Managers as required.
• Lead the digitization of finance records and develop and improve finance SOPs.

Qualifications & Experience

• CA qualified/finalist or fully qualified ACCA.
• 5–7 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 2–3 years in a supervisory role.
• Previous experience in an NGO or not-for-profit organization is strongly preferred.
• Experience with grant management, restricted funds, and donor reporting will be an advantage.
• Strong command of MS Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and organizations.
