Bestway Cement Limited is seeking an experienced Manager Horticulture to oversee horticulture, landscaping, orchard operations, and plantation activities across the company’s locations. The role will focus on maintaining and expanding green spaces, improving orchard productivity, implementing sustainable horticultural practices, and developing new large-scale orchards while ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
📝 Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage qualified horticulture teams working across different locations.
- Develop and implement horticulture and landscaping strategies across company sites.
- Oversee the maintenance of lawns, gardens, trees, shrubs, flower beds, and landscaped areas.
- Plan, supervise, and monitor orchard operations to improve productivity, fruit quality, and yield.
- Develop annual orchard maintenance plans covering irrigation, fertilization, pruning, harvesting, and pest/disease management.
- Lead plantation, afforestation, and landscape expansion projects across business units.
- Identify opportunities to expand green spaces and recommend plant species according to climatic and soil conditions.
- Represent the company in horticulture, environmental, plantation, and landscaping initiatives with relevant organizations, government bodies, and industry forums.
- Manage daily horticulture operations and ensure effective utilization of manpower, equipment, and resources.
- Supervise horticulture staff, gardeners, contractors, and service providers.
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of irrigation systems for efficient water usage.
- Manage procurement of plants, fertilizers, pesticides, tools, and other horticultural materials.
- Prepare and monitor departmental budgets while ensuring cost-effective resource utilization.
- Implement sustainable horticultural practices and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
- Maintain records of plantation activities, orchard productivity, inventory, and maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate with plant management, consultants, nurseries, suppliers, and relevant government authorities.
- Support environmental sustainability, biodiversity, and CSR plantation initiatives across the Group.
- Drive continuous improvement to enhance landscape quality, orchard performance, and operational efficiency.
🎓 Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Horticulture or a related discipline from an HEC-recognized university.
- 15–20 years of relevant professional experience in horticulture, landscaping, orchard management, and development of new large-scale orchards.

- Strong knowledge of horticulture, landscaping, orchard management, and plantation development.
- Proven experience in improving orchard productivity and applying modern horticultural practices.
- Sound knowledge of irrigation systems, soil management, fertilizers, and pest and disease control.

- Strong leadership, contractor management, and team development skills.
- Experience in budget management, cost optimization, and vendor management.
- Understanding of environmental sustainability practices and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent planning, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities.
