Khawo is seeking a Crew Member to support the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of its department. The role involves assisting with food preparation, maintaining hygiene and cleanliness, ensuring food quality, and providing timely and accurate service in accordance with company standards.

Job Requirements

Qualification

• Minimum Matric qualification preferred.

Experience

• Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment will be an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and handling of food items as assigned.
• Follow standard recipes, portion sizes, and food preparation procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of food to maintain freshness and quality.
• Check food items for quality, freshness, and expiry before use.
• Support the Supervisor with daily departmental operations.
• Maintain proper personal hygiene and wear the required uniform/PPE.
• Follow food safety, health, and workplace safety procedures at all times.
• Assist in serving and packing food orders accurately and efficiently.
• Minimize food wastage and use ingredients responsibly.
• Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and surrounding areas after use.
• Report shortages, damaged items, equipment problems, or quality concerns to the Supervisor.
• Maintain punctuality, discipline, and professional behavior.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Management.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should be responsible, punctual, hygienic, disciplined, and willing to work as part of a team. Candidates with basic food-handling knowledge and restaurant experience will have an added advantage.
