NADRA Technologies Limited (NTL) is inviting applications for the position of Chief Internal Auditor (Deputy Director). This senior leadership role is responsible for strengthening internal audit functions, governance frameworks, risk management, compliance, and internal controls across the organization. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management, the Audit Committee, and the Board of Directors to ensure transparency, accountability, and operational excellence.

Education & Professional Qualification

Applicants should possess one of the following professional qualifications from a recognized institution:

  • ACA
  • ACMA
  • ACCA
  • CIA
  • CISA
  • Or an equivalent professional qualification

Candidates should also have:

  • Strong knowledge of International Auditing Standards (IA), Financial Accounting Concepts (FAC), corporate governance, and risk-based audit methodologies.
  • Sound understanding of financial management, procurement processes, and information systems controls.
  • Proven ability to present audit findings and strategic recommendations to senior management and Board-level committees.

Experience

  • 8–10 years of progressive experience in internal audit, risk management, compliance, or related functions.
  • Experience in a leadership role is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in public sector, private sector enterprises, or technology-driven organizations will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive risk-based internal audit plan aligned with organizational objectives and Board directives.
  • Assess the effectiveness of internal controls, governance structures, and enterprise risk management processes.
  • Conduct financial, operational, IT, and compliance audits across all business units.
  • Evaluate the reliability and integrity of financial and operational information.
  • Ensure compliance with:
    • Companies Act, 2017
    • Public Sector Companies (Corporate Governance) Rules, 2013
    • PPRA Rules, 2004
  • Provide assurance on business risk mitigation measures and recommend improvements to internal controls.
  • Present audit reports and recommendations directly to the Audit Committee and Board of Directors.
  • Monitor implementation of corrective actions arising from audit observations.
  • Coordinate effectively with external auditors to improve audit efficiency.
  • Promote accountability, ethical practices, and continuous organizational improvement.

Required Competencies

  • Expertise in Digital Public Infrastructure (Digital ID, Digital Payments, Data Exchange)
  • Strong understanding of Digital ID systems and identity lifecycle management
  • Knowledge of international GovTech and ID4D frameworks (NIST, World Bank, African Union Digital Frameworks)

Employment Terms

  • Initial contract of 3 years, extendable based on organizational requirements.
  • Subject to a 6-month probation period.
  • Management reserves the right to accept or reject any application without assigning any reason.
