Job Description
Beaconhouse School System is seeking a Student Wellbeing Counsellor for its Quetta Cantt Campus. The successful candidate will support students’ emotional and psychological wellbeing through counselling, wellbeing initiatives, crisis intervention, and collaboration with parents and school departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group counselling sessions for students from Grades 6 to A Levels/IBDP.
- Address concerns including stress, anxiety, bullying, and other wellbeing issues.
- Implement suicide risk assessment and safety-planning protocols according to school policy.
- Help students develop self-awareness, resilience, and healthy coping strategies.
- Refer students requiring specialised or long-term support to external practitioners.
- Coordinate with parents when additional support is required.
- Lead wellbeing initiatives, including anti-bullying programmes and EQ training.
- Collaborate with Sports, Arts, and Sustainability departments to promote wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate and confidential counselling records and reports in accordance with the Beaconhouse Wellbeing Policy.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of counselling methodologies and adolescent development.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention and suicide prevention protocols.
- Commitment to confidentiality, safeguarding, and ethical practice.
- High emotional intelligence, empathy, and emotional regulation.
- Excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills.
- Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and digital record-keeping systems.
