Position Overview
The Bank is looking for a Business Analyst – Core Banking (OG-II / OG-I) to support business analysis, system requirements, process improvement, testing, and technology initiatives related to Core Banking Applications.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational / Professional Qualification
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
- Alternatively, Graduation with a Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or an equivalent field.
- Degree must be from a local or international university, college, or institute recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.
- Relevant professional certifications will be preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the IT field.
- At least 1 year of experience in Business Analysis or a similar role.
- Experience in the banking and/or financial institution sector is preferred.
- Candidates with experience in FIS Profile Core Banking Applications will be given preference.
Required Skills, Expertise & Knowledge
- Ability to translate business requirements into effective IT solutions.
- Strong business analysis skills, including designing or reviewing test cases and processing change requests according to project scope.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders at different organizational levels.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, teamwork, and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of digital banking, ADC channels, and integration layers.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Define system scope and objectives through research, fact-finding, and understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements for Core Banking Applications.
- Support day-to-day business requirements and software upgrade initiatives.
- Analyze business and user needs, document requirements, and translate them into appropriate system requirement specifications.
- Analyze industry and organizational technology best practices, vendor products, and services.
- Identify and document business strategies, objectives, and key business drivers.
- Analyze and document business processes and performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Re-engineer processes to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
- Identify and document how applications and systems interact to support business processes.
- Assess and project the impact of system changes on users, internal and external clients, and other stakeholders.
- Apply knowledge of systems and industry requirements to develop or modify complex information systems.
- Prepare test plans and test cases to ensure application changes meet client requirements and maintain application integrity.
- Conduct system integration, readiness, acceptance, and other relevant testing.
- Validate changes made by programmers and ensure they meet client requirements.
- Conduct testing using client data and verify that changes in one part of an application do not adversely affect other areas.
- Review and report testing results.
- Assess the business implications of applying technology within the existing business environment.
- Perform any other assignments delegated by the supervisor(s).
Assessment & Interview
Only shortlisted candidates who strictly meet the stated basic eligibility criteria will be invited for the test and/or panel interview(s).
Employment Terms & Benefits
- Employment will be on a contractual basis for 3 years, which may be renewed at the discretion of Management.
- Selected candidates will be offered a compensation package and other benefits according to the Bank’s applicable policies and rules.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for the test/interview.
