The General Banking Officer will be responsible for efficient customer service and day-to-day branch banking operations. The role involves account opening, non-financial transactions, customer queries and complaints, clearing operations, cash-related activities, records management, security stationery, fixed assets and administrative support while ensuring compliance with banking policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide efficient and courteous customer service in accordance with branch service and quality standards.
• Handle account opening, account closures, dormancy, stop payments, loan accounts and other Core Banking/JazzCash-related processes.
• Process non-financial transactions accurately according to SOPs.
• Manage customer queries and complaints and provide appropriate solutions within the required turnaround time.
• Prepare and maintain branch reports, registers and operational records.
• Reconcile fixed assets and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Manage security stationery, cheque books, ATM cards, Banker’s Cheques and TDRs as per SOPs.
• Process clearing instruments, deposits, withdrawals, fund transfers and other branch transactions accurately.
• Support teller operations and ensure proper cash balancing and cash movement between till and vault.
• Maintain cash-related records, SBP sheets, vault positions and daily cash reports.
• Ensure compliance with SBP regulations, internal policies and operational procedures.
• Refer customers to relevant banking products and services and support cross-selling activities.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager.

Eligibility Criteria

Education: Bachelor's degree from a reputable institution in a relevant field.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
