Indus Hospital & Health Network is seeking a Deputy Manager – Procurement to lead and manage procurement activities for direct material supplies. The position will be responsible for ensuring cost-effective sourcing, timely availability, quality, supplier performance, and compliance with organizational procurement policies and procedures.

The role will focus on strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiations, and continuous improvement of procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for direct material supplies to ensure timely and cost-effective availability.
• Manage supplier sourcing, selection, evaluation, performance monitoring, and relationship management.
• Negotiate contracts, rates, discounts, and commercial terms while maintaining required quality and delivery standards.
• Coordinate with relevant hospital committees and internal stakeholders for effective procurement of direct materials.
• Review and evaluate quotations based on price, quality, delivery timelines, supplier performance, and discounts.
• Identify and develop alternate sources for critical and single-source direct material items to ensure uninterrupted supply.
• Ensure procurement activities remain transparent, compliant, auditable, and aligned with IHHN policies and procedures.
• Lead and monitor the procurement team, evaluate performance, and implement process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or MBA in Supply Chain; MBA is preferred.
• 6–8 years of relevant procurement/supply chain experience.
• Strong supplier management, negotiation, sourcing, and procurement skills.
• Ability to manage procurement processes in a structured and compliant environment.
