Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Fabric Executive to manage fabric sourcing, development, procurement, quality control, production follow-up, and supplier coordination. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of fabric types, textile processes, quality standards, and fabric procurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage fabric sourcing, development, and procurement activities.
- Coordinate with suppliers, mills, vendors, and internal departments.
- Source and evaluate fabrics according to product requirements.
- Inspect fabric quality, color, texture, weight, construction, and finishing.
- Review fabric samples, lab dips, swatches, and approvals.
- Follow up on fabric production and delivery schedules.
- Ensure fabrics meet required quality and technical specifications.
- Identify and resolve fabric quality issues with suppliers.
- Maintain records of fabric orders, samples, approvals, prices, and deliveries.
- Coordinate with production and quality teams to ensure timely fabric availability.
- Negotiate with suppliers regarding pricing, quality, lead times, and delivery.
- Monitor fabric consumption and help minimize material wastage.
- Stay updated on new fabrics, textile trends, finishes, and market developments.
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Textile, Fashion, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in fabric sourcing, merchandising, procurement, production, or textile manufacturing.
- Good knowledge of woven, knitted, and other fabric types.
- Understanding of fabric specifications, GSM, composition, construction, and finishing.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
