🎯 Purpose of the Position

The Graphic Designer will be responsible for converting approved manuscript content, illustrations, and design references into print-ready Urdu-language materials using Adobe InDesign, while ensuring accurate Urdu composition, visual consistency, and adherence to production deadlines.

🎓 Required Qualifications & Experience

• Intermediate qualification or above; diploma/degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field is an advantage.
• Prior experience in book layout, publication design, or print production, particularly Urdu-language materials.
• Strong understanding of book layout principles and Urdu composition.
• Experience preparing artwork for offset printing, including bleed, colour profiles, and resolution.
• Ability to convert content from Word, PDF, CorelDRAW, handwritten notes, or rough sketches into InDesign/Illustrator files.

💻 Software Proficiency

• Expert-level proficiency in Adobe InDesign — primary requirement.
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
• Familiarity with CorelDRAW and MS Word for content conversion.

📌 Other Requirements

• Must be based in Karachi and able to work in-office for the full engagement.
• Must own a personal computer capable of handling large, graphics-heavy design files.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and a compressed, milestone-driven production schedule.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple rounds of revisions across a large volume of pages.
