šÆ Purpose of the Position
The Graphic Designer will be responsible for converting approved manuscript content, illustrations, and design references into print-ready Urdu-language materials using Adobe InDesign, while ensuring accurate Urdu composition, visual consistency, and adherence to production deadlines.
š Required Qualifications & Experience
Intermediate qualification or above; diploma/degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field is an advantage.
Prior experience in book layout, publication design, or print production, particularly Urdu-language materials.
Strong understanding of book layout principles and Urdu composition.
Experience preparing artwork for offset printing, including bleed, colour profiles, and resolution.
Ability to convert content from Word, PDF, CorelDRAW, handwritten notes, or rough sketches into InDesign/Illustrator files.
š» Software Proficiency
Expert-level proficiency in Adobe InDesign ā primary requirement.
Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
Familiarity with CorelDRAW and MS Word for content conversion.
š Other Requirements
Must be based in Karachi and able to work in-office for the full engagement.
Must own a personal computer capable of handling large, graphics-heavy design files.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and a compressed, milestone-driven production schedule.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple rounds of revisions across a large volume of pages.
