The Bank of Punjab is looking for an experienced and performance-driven legal professional to lead and manage litigation matters for its Central & North operations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and supervise the Bank’s litigation portfolio across different business units.
Handle litigation matters related to SME, RFD, ACD, P&OEG and other business areas.
Review and vet plaints, petitions, CPLA, CP, CA, appeals, replications and other legal documents.
Manage legal support for settlement and compromise agreements.
Supervise important court proceedings before judicial and quasi-judicial forums.
Coordinate with external legal counsels and ensure proper representation of the Bank’s interests.
Liaise with business units and relevant teams for required information and documentation.
Lead and supervise the litigation team and coordinate with the MIS team to maintain updated litigation records.
Recommend suitable and prominent lawyers for empanelment.
Provide assistance and support to the Chief Legal Officer, Divisional Head Litigation and management.
Perform other assignments assigned by the line management.
Eligibility Criteria
Qualification:
Minimum LLB or relevant degree from an HEC-recognized local or foreign university/institute.
Experience:
Minimum 09 years of experience in:
Litigation
Banking Laws
Criminal Laws
Corporate Laws
Recovery Laws
Age Limit:
Up to 55 years as of the application date.
