Education: Bachelor’s / Master’s degree, preferably in Supply Chain
Experience: Minimum 06 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree OR minimum 04 years of relevant experience with a Master’s degree
The Assistant Manager – Supply Chain will be responsible for supporting procurement and supply chain operations, ensuring the timely and cost-effective availability of medical, general, purchased, and donated items for the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:

Ensure accurate and timely procurement of all required items, including purchased, donated, medical, and general supplies.

Identify and assess the procurement needs of various departments.

Review and verify purchase orders and work orders according to approved quotations and the TIH Purchase Manual.

Ensure the availability of required materials at the most economical cost and within the minimum possible timeframe.

Inspect received items and resolve issues related to rejections, discrepancies, and quality concerns.

Act as a key point of contact between suppliers, hospital departments, and end users.

Communicate delivery schedules to relevant departments and stakeholders.

Handle petty cash for emergency procurement while maintaining complete records and documentation.

Prepare work plans, staff duty rosters, and schedules for the procurement team.

Regularly review purchased items against purchase orders to ensure the correct quality, make, and quantity.

Maintain updated records and lists of approved vendors and suppliers.

Liaise with external contractors and vendors as well as internal users.

Negotiate with suppliers regarding pricing, warranties, and after-sales services.

Regularly verify item prices by comparing purchase orders with approved price lists.

Participate in Purchase Committee meetings, HOD monthly meetings, and other relevant meetings.

Coordinate closely with departmental heads, particularly the HODs of IT, Biomedical, and Maintenance.

Supervise the activities and tasks of the supply chain staff in the absence of the DM, Manager, or Head of Supply Chain.

Maintain complete records of purchase orders and work orders and prepare comparative statements when required.

Assist in preparing, monitoring, and managing the department’s budget.

Perform other relevant duties assigned by the immediate supervisor or management, in line with knowledge and skills.
