Mobilink Microfinance Bank Ltd. (MMBL) is seeking a motivated and customer-focused General Banking Officer for its Chiniot Branch. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing efficient customer service and supporting day-to-day branch banking operations, including account opening, non-financial transactions, cash operations, clearing, customer complaint handling, record maintenance, and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient customer handling and deliver branch services in line with established service and quality standards.
• Perform operational duties across different branch segments at the maker/inputter level.
• Handle account opening and related processes, including account closure, dormancy marking and removal, stop payment instructions, statement of account issuance, loan account opening and closing, level migration, and other customer account services.
• Support Core and JazzCash customer operations and participate in Gold Loan assessments where required.
• Prepare deceased customer refund cases and maintain accurate records.
• Manage customer queries professionally and monitor branch service indicators to support their achievement.
• Process all types of non-financial transactions accurately according to bank SOPs.
• Guide walk-in customers and promote relevant banking products and services.
• Prepare operational reports for submission to the Customer Services Manager and Head Office.
• Conduct annual physical verification of fixed assets and reconcile the fixed assets register.
• Maintain custody and balancing of security stationery in coordination with relevant branch officers.
• Provide administrative support to the branch in liaison with the Customer Services Manager and Branch Manager.
• Handle customer complaints and provide appropriate solutions within the defined turnaround time.
• Prepare and maintain branch registers and operational records accurately.
• Review and reconcile sundry and suspense accounts.
• Scan and upload SS cards on a daily basis.
• Process clearing instruments and related return entries accurately.
• Issue, maintain, and destroy cheque books, Banker's Cheques, and TDRs according to bank procedures.
• Maintain custody and proper delivery records of received cheque books and ATM cards.
• Provide backup support for Teller operations when required.
• Ensure compliance with the SBP Clean Notes Policy and applicable cash-handling procedures.
• Process cash deposits and withdrawals accurately in accordance with the Operations Manual.
• Identify and report counterfeit notes through the prescribed process.
• Process cheque deposits and outward clearing instruments accurately.
• Manage cash exchange between tellers where applicable.
• Ensure timely cash transfers between till and vault at the start and end of the day.
• Perform FT, TT, and clearing entries accurately.
• Ensure daily cash balancing between physical cash and the T24 system.
• Maintain cash balancing registers, Teller Daily Cash Records, SBP sheets, vault position reports, average sheets, and other cash-related reports.
• Maintain custody of allocated branch keys and stamps.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Line Manager.

Eligibility Criteria

Education

• Bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution in a relevant field.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
