Job Overview
Durbeen is seeking a qualified and motivated Faculty – Research Methods in Education to join its academic team in Karachi. The successful candidate will contribute to teacher education through innovative, student-centered teaching, academic collaboration, professional outreach, and scholarly research.
Qualification
- Candidates must have completed or be currently enrolled in an M.Phil. in Education or M.Ed. degree program.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality instruction using innovative and student-centered teaching strategies, providing student-teachers with meaningful exposure to professional teaching practices.
- Collaborate with fellow faculty members to develop course outlines, schemes of work, lesson plans, and classroom learning materials.
- Participate in professional development activities, including peer lesson observations and constructive feedback.
- Contribute to academic and administrative activities across departments, including the Office of Continuous Professional Development and Academic Support Center.
- Participate actively in faculty committees, meetings, and other institutional activities.
- Support professional outreach initiatives of the Government Elementary College of Education, Hussainabad, including conferences, professional events, guest-speaker sessions, and educational review activities.
- Engage in scholarly research related to teacher and school education and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field.
- Conduct empirical studies, pursue research opportunities, publish findings in reputable journals, and participate in academic conferences and workshops.
- Serve on campus-wide committees and provide guidance to student organizations.
- Remain available for institutional events and academic obligations, including conferences, commencement ceremonies, and other events held during the working week.
