Job Purpose

The Zonal Sales Manager will coordinate sales activities across the assigned geographical zone, achieve zonal sales targets, and manage a team of Territory Sales Managers (TSMs).

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies for the assigned zone in line with revenue targets.
• Work with the Regional Sales Manager to cascade and achieve regional sales targets.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report Territory Sales team performance.
• Support route-to-market strategy development with Sales Support and Marketing teams.
• Track actual spending against the approved zone budget and report variances.
• Develop strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and channel partners.
• Evaluate distributor performance and conduct regular market and distributor visits.
• Identify opportunities to expand National Foods' presence in underserved markets.
• Support distributor negotiations regarding pricing and sales agreement terms.
• Monitor implementation of distributor agreements according to agreed terms.
• Collaborate with Marketing and QIRD teams to analyse product category performance.
• Conduct regular performance reviews with TSMs and address performance issues.
• Provide training, guidance, and supervision to Territory Sales Managers.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and changing consumer preferences.
• Prepare and submit regular sales and performance reports to management.
