Job Overview

Mobilink Microfinance Bank Limited (MMBL) is seeking a qualified and experienced professional for the position of General Banking Officer at its Tariq Road Branch in Karachi. The selected candidate will be responsible for branch banking operations, customer service, account management, transaction processing, cash handling support, and compliance with banking procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide efficient customer service and ensure smooth branch operations.

• Handle account opening, account closures, dormancy management, stop payments, and other account-related processes.

• Respond to customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide appropriate banking solutions within the required turnaround time.

• Process non-financial transactions accurately in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Guide walk-in customers and promote relevant banking products and services.

• Prepare and maintain branch reports, registers, and operational records.

• Review and reconcile sundry and suspense accounts.

• Maintain fixed asset inventories and manage security stationery in accordance with bank policies.

• Handle cheque books, ATM cards, bankers' cheques, term deposit receipts (TDRs), and related records.

• Support cash deposits, withdrawals, cheque clearing, cash transfers, and daily cash balancing when required.

• Identify and report counterfeit banknotes and follow State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) clean-note policies.

• Ensure accurate processing of funds transfers, clearing entries, and other banking transactions.

• Maintain cash balancing records, vault position reports, and other operational documentation.

• Perform additional duties assigned by the line manager.

Eligibility Criteria

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from a reputable institution.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
