Job Description

The General Banking Officer will manage daily branch banking operations, provide customer service, handle account opening and maintenance, process non-financial transactions, assist with cash operations, maintain records, and ensure compliance with banking policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide efficient customer service and handle customer queries and complaints.

• Manage account opening, closures, account maintenance, and related banking operations.

• Process non-financial transactions accurately according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Guide customers regarding banking products and services and identify cross-selling opportunities.

• Maintain branch records, registers, reports, and security stationery.

• Monitor and reconcile fixed assets, sundry accounts, and suspense accounts.

• Handle cheque books, ATM cards, clearing instruments, and related documentation.

• Assist with cash deposits, withdrawals, cash balancing, and vault operations as required.

• Identify and report counterfeit currency and follow State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) clean notes policy.

• Ensure compliance with banking regulations, service quality standards, and internal procedures.

• Perform additional duties assigned by the line manager.

Eligibility Criteria

🎓 Qualification: Bachelor's degree from a reputable institution in a relevant field.

💼 Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
