Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

• Master's degree preferred.

Experience Requirements

• 3–4 years of relevant experience in healthcare procurement.

• Experience in biomedical and laboratory procurement across multiple or remote locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of biomedical equipment, laboratory instruments, reagents, diagnostic kits, consumables, spare parts, and related services.

• Coordinate with Biomedical, Pathology, Radiology, and other departments to understand technical specifications and requirements.

• Identify and evaluate qualified local and international vendors.

• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and service-level agreements.

• Review quotations, technical bids, and comparative statements, and issue purchase orders through ERP or procurement systems.

• Coordinate deliveries, installations, and commissioning with logistics, warehouse, and biomedical engineering teams.

• Monitor warranties, service contracts, preventive maintenance, and AMC/CMC agreements.

• Maintain vendor records, contracts, certifications, and regulatory compliance documentation.

• Support CAPEX and OPEX procurement planning for biomedical and diagnostic items.

• Conduct market research on new products, suppliers, and pricing trends.

• Ensure compliance with institutional, donor, and regulatory procurement policies, including DRAP and import requirements.

• Participate in vendor evaluations and procurement audits.
