Organization Overview:
Since 1994, READ Foundation has empowered over 130,000 children, including 14,000 orphans, through quality education in 624 schools across Pakistan. The organization supports out-of-school girls, partners with Punjab’s government for public schools, and provides emergency aid and rehabilitation to crisis-affected communities.

Job Purpose:
To monitor the Orphan Sponsorship Program, verify beneficiary data and assistance delivery, and assess progress against agreed targets. The officer will provide accurate and timely findings and reports to support accountability and program improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and verify school fee payments, monthly stipends, and educational materials provided to sponsored children.

• Conduct regular field visits to schools and beneficiaries across AJK to verify activities, records, and progress.

• Maintain accurate beneficiary records and project databases, identifying and following up on missing or inconsistent data.

• Collect, validate, and analyze data against agreed indicators and targets, and document beneficiary feedback.

• Prepare field visit reports, monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports for management and donors.

• Monitor safeguarding training and other planned activities, including participation and completion.

• Report implementation gaps and track corrective actions with Field Officers, school heads, and relevant departments.

• Protect beneficiary information, follow child safeguarding standards, and report concerns through approved channels.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Economics, Development Studies, or a related field.

• At least two years of relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation, data management, or project reporting. NGO or development-sector experience is preferred.

• Experience in education or child welfare projects will be an advantage.

Required Skills:

• MS Excel, Word, and database management.

• Data verification and analysis.

• Report writing and communication.

• Stakeholder coordination.

• Attention to detail, impartiality, confidentiality, and child safeguarding.

• Willingness and ability to undertake extensive field visits across AJK.

Additional Notes:

• Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview and test in Islamabad.
