Mobilink Microfinance Bank Ltd is seeking an Assistant Manager – Strategy Research & Development to strengthen its strategic intelligence and support high-impact decision-making.

In this role, you will build and maintain the bank’s strategic knowledge base, conduct structured research, analyze competitive movements, evaluate internal performance data, and convert insights into executive-ready outputs that shape business direction.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys turning complex information into clear strategy—comfortable with both data analysis in Excel and executive-level presentations in PowerPoint.

📊 Key Responsibilities

🔍 Research & Market Intelligence

• Conduct continuous research on banking, fintech, macroeconomic, and regulatory trends in Pakistan
• Analyze global best practices in digital banking, financial inclusion, microfinance, and payments
• Monitor SBP publications, CGAP reports, analyst insights, and financial institution research
• Maintain a structured repository of market intelligence and strategic insights

🧠 Competitive Intelligence

• Track competitor activity across banking, microfinance, and fintech sectors
• Analyze product launches, pricing strategies, partnerships, and market positioning
• Develop forward-looking insights on competitor behavior and industry trends
• Build and maintain competitive intelligence profiles for key institutions

📊 Internal Data & Analysis

• Analyze internal business performance data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities
• Collaborate with Finance, Product, and Operations teams for data validation
• Support development of analytical models and decision-support frameworks

📑 Insight Structuring & Reporting

• Convert complex research into clear, executive-level presentations
• Build advanced Excel models, dashboards, and trackers for strategic analysis
• Prepare strategy briefs, memos, and structured summaries for leadership
• Ensure accuracy, clarity, and quality control across all deliverables

🚀 Strategic Project Support

• Assist in strategic initiatives including digital transformation, SME growth, and sustainability programs
• Support business case development and strategic proposals
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for project execution and tracking
• Ensure initiatives are grounded in evidence-based insights

🎯 Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
• 2–4 years of experience in strategy, consulting, research, or financial analysis (banking/fintech preferred)
• Strong research and analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex information
• Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables, dashboards)
• Strong PowerPoint skills for executive presentations
• Excellent written communication and structured thinking
• High attention to detail and quality control mindset
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
