Job Overview

Teknosys is looking for a passionate and motivated Associate Data Engineer to join its growing technology team. This opportunity is ideal for fresh graduates or early-career professionals who are eager to build expertise in Data Engineering, cloud technologies, and modern data platforms. Key Responsibilities

  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT)
  • Assist in developing and maintaining data pipelines using ETL tools and cloud-based services
  • Support data ingestion and transformation processes using open-source frameworks
  • Perform scripting tasks using Python and Shell scripting for workflow automation
  • Maintain proper documentation of data pipelines, workflows, and development activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across databases, cloud platforms, and analytics domains
  • Work with modern data technologies including Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, and relational databases

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 0–3 years of experience in Data Engineering or a related field
  • Strong understanding of databases, data warehousing, and big data concepts
  • Familiarity with Teradata, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline development
  • Basic experience in Python and Shell scripting
  • Strong SQL query writing and optimization skills
  • Familiarity with Apache Spark, Hadoop, Hive, or related open-source tools is a plus
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies is preferred
